Q. How do I open/Apply for an account?
A. Visit LIS website, www.lifestyleinvestorservices.com where you will find a link at the top of the page called, “open an account” you will then find application forms for Individual and joint accounts, and there is a link to take you to optional company/trust and special accounts.
Q. Who will my trading account be held with?
A. When you open a trading account With Lifestyle Investor Services, your account will be held with Lifestyle Investor Services/Interactive Brokers.

Q. How long does opening an account take?
A. Opening an individual trading account can take from 4 business days to 14 business days, as long as all the paper work is in order then it is close to 4 days. For more information on opening an account see our website above. The process for a Company or Trust Account can take longer, again it depends on all the paper work being in order, the process is more time consuming for a company and Trust as there is a lot more legal paper work to be completed.

Q. What kind of accounts is available?
A. There are a few different kinds of account to suit your desired structure.

1) The basic setup that 90% of traders use, is to trade through an account held in their personal name, it is the quickest and easiest to set up. You can also have the same style of account with two names and details on it, that’s a joint account.

2) You can also open a company or trust based account, these take longer to set up and require a lot more legal paper work and documentation.

3) We have also got a special account for only trading the Forex and indexes, so you cannot trade commodities and options through it, but the benefit is, it can be traded with a smaller account. So for example for some one with $10,000 wanting to trade the Forex, we would suggest trading through our special Forex account that will allow you to trade minis called an IG account.

Q. How do I fund my account?
A. On the information email you have received with you account login information for your Live and simulated accounts, you will find a step-by-step guide of how to fund you account.
Q. What country and currency is my account held in?

A. Your account is held in Australia. The funds in your account will be in AUD by default but you can change this to what you would like.

Q. Can I open an account if I am unemployed?

A. In theory no you cant, as you do need to provide contact information for your employer or company etc, and need to be able to provide information regarding your annual income. But if you do not work but you have annual income coming in from investments etc then yes you can apply for an account, we can help you with this process at the time of application.

Q. What is the minimum age for opening an account?
A. Legally it is of the age 18. But some markets to trade electronically require prior experience to be able to trade on margin. The minimum recommended age to trade an account in your own name would be 21.
Q. Can anyone else trade my account for me?
A. When an account is opened in your name or under your control then it is legally under your control. Designed for you to trade, so you are responsible for the account. It is not recommended to share your details with anyone and keep the information secure like a bank account.
Q. Is it possible to apply for a trading account under a company name that is under application?
A. No, to apply for an account under a company name, the company has to be complete and registered.
Q. Can I open more than one account?

A. Yes most definitely, as there are no account opening or keeping fees, you can have as many accounts as you like, they just have to be applied for separately. Please bare in mind there is the monthly data subscriptions for the accounts so funds do reduce minimally each month.

Q.  Are there any fees for a Trading account?

A.  There are no account opening or keeping fees for LIS accounts, but for Interactive Brokers accounts, There is a market data fee for the platform live data.  For an Individual and Joint account it is $12 USD per month  and for Company, Trust and corporate Trust it is $35USD per month.

Q. What is Market Data? Is it different to the ARLT membership fee?

A. Yes the market data for the Interactive Brokers platform is different to the Aussie Rob membership monthly fee. The market data for The Interactive brokers Platform, is minimum of $10 per month, varies up to about $50 per month depending on what you want to trade, the standard for Options, Commodities and Forex is $12 per month for an Individual and Joint account and $35USD per month for Company, Trust and Corporate Trust.

Q. What are the fees involved in opening a trading account?
A. There are no account opening or keeping fees, only the basic brokerage commission fees below. (All prices are is USD and are for non Trade For You Transactions)

US Stocks: $0.02 per share with a $5 minimum per trade

US Stock Options: $2.00 per contract with a minimum of $5.00 per trade e.g.,

It would cost $5.00 to trade 2 contracts

$9.00 to trade Commodities

$8.00 per side Forex

$0.70 pips per side with a minimum of approximately $8.00

Q. Do I get charged for placing stop?
A. No you don’t, you only get charged when you enter and exit a trade, nothing in between, so you don’t get charged for changing your stops on a daily basis, unless you get stopped or close out, you will not be charged to exit.
Q. If I have stocks or shares in another account, can I manage those in my IB trading account or on the platform?
A. Yes you can, we have a form that you can fill in to transfer any existing stock positions into your IB account where you can manage the stocks just like any other trade we have on the platform.
Q. Can I buy Australia Stocks on the IB Platform?
A. Yes you can, here are the prices:
$17.00 AUD to buy and sell stocksQ. Can I trade Australian Options?
$16.00 AUD minimum and $8.00 AUD per contract for options
Q. Do I need any extra market data subscriptions for Australian stocks on the IB platform?
A. Yes you will need to subscribe to the Australian Stock Exchange Non Professional for $37.50 per month.

Account Management
Q. How do I log in to my account management section?

A. To log into your account management, just visit www.lifestyleinvestorservices.com and click on the “login to Account Management” link. The login Screen will appear. Login using your Live Account login details.

Q. How do I access my trading account activity statements?
A. Login to your account management as above, there is multiple menus on the left hand side, select Report management and then Activity Statements. Select the time frame you want the statement for then follow the instructions from there.
Q. Who do I contact in the event of an emergency and I have trades open live, and need to exit them?
A. You should call Interactive brokers, who can help you bust the trade.
Q. What is the minimum I can fund my account with to start simulated trading?

A. The minimum funding amount is $10,000. If you cannot fund with that amount initially, please contact trading support so we can work something out for you.

Q. If I only have $10,000 can I afford to trade following Aussie Robs basket trading rules?
A. We have basic suggestions of minimum trading account sizes to be able to trade different markets with out account restrictions. As all trading requires margin (which is a deposit taken when entering a trade) you need to have enough funds within your account to allow your account to allow for this margin to be “Frozen” (it does not go out of your account but you are unable to use it whilst in that trade). Our suggested minimum account balances are $10,000 USD for Options, $25,000 USD for Forex and $40,000 USD for Commodities. This is not based on individual circumstances so you may be able to trade with less.
Q. Can I place trades over the telephone with LIS?
A. No, when trading through an LIS trading account, you can place trades on the trading platform. We specialize is teaching our clients in how to trade electronically, and not over the phone. We do not currently have a full service brokerage facility but there are plans in the near future to take Options traders on the phone, for additional brokerage fees.

Training and Education
Q. How do I learn how to trade?

A. Lifestyle Trader and Lifestyle Investor services have designed training over email and the Internet along with face-to-face training to teach you to trade. Everyone will have a difference style and circumstances so it is important go through the whole training schedule. This will help you learn more about what is going to be the correct trading strategy for you and help you to see the patterns in the markets.

Q. What are the sessions?
A. “The Sessions Training” is an email based training course that has modules for the Commodities, Forex and Options Markets. With Step-by-Step Instructions and Video Tutorials to teach you everything you need to know to trade using the Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation Trading Platform. This will reinforce your strategy and allow you to practice trading Aussie Rob’s signals in a safe environment (not risking your hard earned cash). We have a copy of the sessions on our website to go back for future reference if you ever need to and our mentors and Trading support people love to help.
Q. How much does it cost to take part in the Sessions training courses?
A. The Sessions are free of charge for all Lifestyle Investor Services Clients. The Sessions are not available for clients that do not have a trading account with us.
Q. How do I get the Sessions?
A. To be able the Sessions you have to have a trading account with Lifestyle Investor Services, the account has to be open and funded with the minimum of $10,000. At this time you can enrol via www.lifestyleinvestorservices.com.Where you can login to the zone members area and enrol via the bookings page, select which  module you would like to start first (Options, Commodities or Forex). This will register you with one of our mentors and they will send you course material, providing you with invaluable help and support.
Q. Can I do the Sessions if I trade through another broker?
A. No you can’t, you have to be an LIS client to receive our specialised training course. Our trainers have written this course exclusively for LIS clients, the sessions are only relevant to the TWS platform and Lifestyle Traders.
Q. How long do the Sessions go for?
A. Each Module runs for 20 days, consisting of 11 Email based lessons.
Q. When I take part in the lessons, how do I know if I am doing everything correctly?
A. During the Sessions, you will have your “homework” checked for you by one of our Mentors. When you enroll for the Sessions, you get assigned to a mentor to monitor you for the month.
Q. After completing one module (i.e. Forex, Commodities or Options) how do I take part in another one?
A. To start on another module you need to go to the bookings page on the website same as the first time you enrol.. The modules do not flow on automatically from one to another.
Q. Who are the Mentors?
A. The LIS Mentors are an extension of the LIS Live Trading Team, they are a hand picked team that had to meet a certain criteria: Live traders, trading the LT system, friendly, willing to help, friendly, and oh yes did I mention friendly!
Q. Do I have a mentor after I finish the Sessions Training?
A. The mentors are employed to work with you while you are on a current training module. After you finish the Sessions, the mentors are not obliged to continue mentoring you, they will move on to helping a new set of students. You can continue to work with our Trading Support and Live Trading Team when you need any help; this takes the place of the mentors.
Q. What is the Go Live course?

A. After the Sessions we have the 6-week Go Live course. This is one of the final steps in your 90-day apprenticeship and a valuable simulation of “Live” trading. The most important thing is to not rush through your training so you start trading too soon. Take your time and revisit anything that you are having trouble with, there is a lot to learn. This course has been specifically developed to cement in all of the training that you have been provided with to date and to give you a chance to trade on a simulated trading platform. See the real profits or losses that would occur and tighten up you strategy.

Advanced and Live Trading Training
Q. What is the Advanced Training?
A. Lifestyle Investor Services Advanced training events are designed to suit traders that have been live trading for 3 months or more, wanting to learn some more advanced strategies and skills that can add a real boost to their trading. This course is $995 for the 2 days of face-to-face, small group training. We have had great feedback from our clients regarding this course and it can really take you to the next level.

We also have a 1 day Live Trading Training, it is designed for traders that have gone live. They are $495 for the day, 12 hours of training and this is normally held in regional areas.

Q. What can we learn at the Advanced Training Courses?
A. The course content has been designed by our most experienced of traders and trainers, to ensure that the course has valuable information for all traders. Covering advanced strategies for Options, Commodities and Forex. Also we show you some excellent tricks and skills of how to use the Trader Workstation Platform to greatest effect.
Q. Who can attend an Advanced or Live trading course?
A. All LIS clients that have a funded trading account that have been Live Trading for 3 months or more are welcome to join us at our LISA event.
Q. Why is live trading experience necessary to attend an Advanced Trading Course?
A. We have restrictions to ensure that the group has got a minimum level of experience and understanding of trading. If you do not understand the training you have already received you will not gain any advantage by trying to learn strategies that are too advanced for your level.
